Steve Mangel joined IFG in June 1998 and assumed responsibility for managing all company operations. At IFG, he has overseen the issuance of completion guaranties for more than 250 films having aggregate production budgets exceeding US$5.5 billion. He was previously a senior executive at LIVE Entertainment (now part of Lions Gate Entertainment) for 12 years, where he served as executive vice president in charge of business and legal affairs. As LIVE's chief dealmaker, Steve structured the financing and production of many high-profile independent motion pictures, including "Reservoir Dogs", "Bob Roberts", "The Bad Lieutenant" and "Drugstore Cowboy". Additionally, he founded and headed LIVE's international sales division from 1994 to 1996, delivering "The Arrival", "The Substitute", "Trees Lounge" and other feature films to the overseas market. Prior to joining LIVE, Steve spent seven years in private practice with a boutique entertainment law firm specializing in representing clients in the record and music publishing industries. Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from Cal State Northridge and his law degree from the University of Southern California Law Center.
